Tree Felling on Willy Wroe Latest Update

Representatives from Cadent and Trafford met with us on Flixton Fields and William Wroe Meadows to discuss reparations to the old orchard and their proposed route for the gas pipeline to run alongside Flixton Road through Flixton Fields.

Cadent are currently consulting local businesses and stakeholders regarding the work on Flixton Fields and Flixton Road.

We are very encouraged by the co-operation demonstrated by Cadent and Trafford to our recommendations and Cadent's commitment to replant a mix of fruit trees and hedgerows in the old orchard area, plus to the protections we have recommended for the mature trees and fencing which flank Flixton Fields.

We are continuing to work with both Cadent and Trafford to agree a detailed plan for the old orchard and they have agreed to keep us updated at each step of the way. Overall, a very positive meeting. Once we have a final agreement about the work, we'll let you know.
